August Bulletin

 

There is a question that’s come down through the years.

They claim there’s no answer, is that what I hear?

“Which came first … the chicken or the egg?

The egg or the chicken or the chicken or the egg?”

When I open my Bible, the answer is clear …

In the very first chapter of Genesis, right here

From verses twenty-one & twenty-two we can read.

Many questions are answered when on God’s word we feed.

“And God created … every wing’d fowl after his kind,

And God saw that it was good, and God

Blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, multiply.”

Thus, the chicken came first & then eggs she did supply!

So whenever you’re wondering ‘bout something, big or small,

The best place to turn for an answer … on God call.

The Bible is full of instruction for us to heed.

Yes, our questions are answered when on God’s word we feed!

An Eli Lily pen type Bee Sting or Insulin Syringe in a brown case was found at the FH on July 10th.  If anyone knows who it belongs to, please contact Bruce Schafer at 309-267-9435.

 

Restmor Ice Cream Social

The Restmor Ice Cream Social is planned for August 10th from 6-8:00 p.m.  Baked goods are appreciated.  Please bring them to Restmor by 3:00 p.m. on August 10th in disposable containers.

 

World Relief Informational Meeting

The World Relief Informational Meeting is planned for Thursday, August 12th from 1:00-4:30 p.m. at the Rittman Fellowship Hall.

K.I.D.S. Day

KIDS Day is planned for Saturday, August 14th from 8:30-2:30 for all Nursery-8th grade SS students.  All children should wear old clothes.

Conference Bus Trip

 

Dear Brothers,


We are planning again this year (similar to what we did 11 years ago) to take a bus to the Brotherhood Conference in Rittman, OH. 

ALL TIMES ARE E.S.T.

 

Thursday, August 12th

 

10:00 a.m. – Leave Wolcott Church

We will make stops along the way to pick up Brethren from other churches.

We will stop to eat lunch 12:30-1:00. 

 

5:00-5:30 p.m. – Arrive at Rittman Church for supper.  This allows time to eat prior to the minister meeting at Rittman Church at 6:30 p.m.

 

The bus will take the rest of us to the singing at the Smithville Church at 7:00 p.m.

 

Friday, August 13th

 

5:00 p.m. – Leave Rittman Church after supper

 

11:00-11:30 p.m. – Arrive back at the Wolcott Church

 

Reservations for the bus will be taken on a first come first served basis.  The cost is $50 per person.  Please call 219-279-2800 & Voicemail Box 3 is designated for this purpose.  You can also email us at bgerber@premierfm.net .  We will need the name of each person, their church, & a phone # or email address.  PLEASE RESPOND BY FRIDAY, JULY 30TH!!
