January Bulletin
Winter’s Promise
Trees so bare in winter are all that some folks see.
To me they are a promise of better things to be.
The buds forming on each twig are the promise of a
leaf
That will in the summer heat bring a sweet relief.
The branches pointed skyward all seem to pray
To our God in Heaven for watchful care each day.
Yes, I love each bare tree. To me they are so pleasin’,
Proving God omnipresent, controlling every season.

Thank You
Dear Apostolic Christian
Church of Tremont, I
would like to send my gratitude & great appreciation for your “Gifts of
Love” program. This year I was able to
see first-hand the generosity you give.
As you know, many families are experiencing hardships, so this is a
great program. Thank you so much for
helping our students, families, & community.
Sincerely, Katie Willey, TGS

Rescue Squad Need
Rules require the Tremont
Rescue Squad to provide a driver & 2 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)
with each call. The squad’s main problem
is finding volunteer EMT’s for the daytime
shifts. In past months, our governing
body has allowed the squad to operate with one EMT. This is happening an average of 8 times a
month, as often as 18 times a month, & WILL NO LONGER BE PERMITTED AFTER
JUNE 2010. If the schedule cannot be
filled on a regular basis, a tax referendum may have to be considered so that
daytime EMTs can be hired. The squad would prefer to remain all
volunteer & believes the community of Tremont can work together to achieve
this. The next EMT class begins January
31st & the Rescue Squad board is waiving the tuition for this
class. Details about the class dates,
location, & prerequisites can be found at http://rescue702.com. Please contact Anne Zuercher with any
questions & to sign up for the class.
