Though he asks no fuss
or favors, he deserves our words of praise
We should pause &
pay him tribute as his day once more draws near
For so often we neglect
him in the days throughout the year
He’s content to see his
loved ones have the things they want & need
But for his own wants
& fancies you will seldom hear him plead
He’s the one who seldom
whimpers when things do not go his way
But today he should be
honored, for today is Father’s Day

Turkey Festival Bake Sale
If
you would be willing to donate baked goods to the Turkey Festival Bake Sale,
please bring them to the bake sale booth at the Country Store any time during
the weekend. Anyone can donate &
many baked goods are needed, so please consider making something for the

Woods Sale
The
Gateway Woods Annual Auction is planned for August 7th this
year. If you are interested in donating
items, please contact Nate & Sandi Koch.
Also, this year there will be a charter bus going from central IL to Fort Wayne, IN
for the convenience of those who would rather not drive themselves. There is a block of rooms reserved for the
overnight stay. If you would be
interested in reserving a spot, please see Nate or Sandi Koch.

Needed for World Relief Night
New
or gently used towels, winter clothing, & bedding are needed for the
upcoming World Relief Family Night on Tuesday, June 8th. All items will be packaged into packs sent to
Christians in Pakistan
who have been displaced from their homes because of persecution. Please contact Meg Koch if you have any of

Pillowcases
Needed
We
need approximately 42 pillowcases (used ones are fine) for the layettes for Mexico. We plan to assemble them on June 8th. If you would be willing to donate some,

Tablecloths
If
you have used the long rectangle black tablecloths from the FH in the last
year, please make sure you have returned them!!! Maybe someone took them to the cleaners &
forgot to pick them up???? Or, stuck
them in their closet & forgot about them???? Please take a look & see if you can find
the tablecloths. If they are not found,
we will have to purchase new ones!!!

you know of someone who needs help or would like to be a “good neighbor”

Father/Son
Night
Any
father, son, or grandfather … any male in church is invited! It is planned for Friday, July 9th
at the Granary at Vernon Koch’s. Rain
location will be the Community Center in town.
Please bring lawn chairs, insect repellent, & a flashlight. Also … if your last name begins with the
letter A-M – bring fruit & N-Z – bring bars. Please sign up on the sheets at church by
July 3rd.
Pack-the-Truck
for Tremont
Tremont
Food Pantry will have “Pack the Truck for Tremont” at the Turkey Festival. It is our way of getting information out
about the food pantry & also encourage people to give to our pantry by
“packing the truck” with canned goods, boxed meals, paper products, &
diapers. Thank you to everyone who helps
out each month as well as working at the pantry on the 2nd Monday of
