February Bulletin

Where There Is Love

Where there is love the heart is light, where there is love the heart is bright,

Where there is love there is a song to help when things are going wrong.

Where there is love there is a smile to make all things seem more worthwhile;

Where there is love there’s quiet peace, a tranquil place where turmoils cease.

Love changes darkness into light and makes the heart take “wingless flight.”

And mothers have a special way of filling homes with love each day,

And when the home is filled with love you’ll always find God spoken of,

And when a family prays together, that family also stays together.

And once again a mother’s touch can mold and shape and do so much

To make this world a better place for every color, creed, and race,

For when man walks with God again, there shall be peace on earth for men.

We would like to express our thankfulness & appreciation to all of you who richly blessed us with your outpouring of love that was expressed in so many different ways.  We truly felt strengthened by your love, prayers, & support.  We value our church family as a priceless gift from our wonderful Lord which helped us get through this difficult time.  In His Love,

The Lee Pflederer family

Volunteer Needed

Our church is in charge of getting volunteers at car parking & the coat check at the Mennonite Relief Sale in March.  Nelson Koch has been handling this for several years & is ready to hand it off to someone else!  If you would be willing to take over this responsibility, please call Nelson at 267-6627.  Thanks!

Lost & Found Boxes

Please check the lost & found boxes at church.  They are getting very full.  Thanks!!

Tremont Food Pantry

The Tremont Food Pantry is open every Monday evening from 5:00-6:30 p.m. excluding holidays.  Our church does the 2nd Monday of every month.  Volunteers are needed for the months of February –December 2009.  Please contact Becky Sauder at 241-7189 if you are interested in helping.  Thanks!

We have a request for a carpet remnant for a room 13’2” x 13’2” preferably tan or beige.  The patron’s carpet was damaged by water & had to be thrown away.  Her living room is concrete right now.  If you have something that would work, please contact Becky Sauder.  Thanks!

Services in Rochester, MN

It is our desire to make the brethren aware of mid-week services in Rochester, MN the third Wednesday of the month starting in January 09.  Services start at 7:30 p.m. & will be held at 310 16th Ave SW, Rochester, MN, which is within walking distance of the Mayo Campus.  Contacts are Sis. Anne Wagenbach (507-993-6916, alwagenbach@aol.com) or Bro. Jim & Sis. Deb Tilbury (507-281-2875, tilbury@us.ibm.com).  Brethren & friends in the area for medical treatment or visiting others are welcome & encouraged to worship with us.  Where you have flexibility in scheduling of your appointments & can accommodate the 3rd week of the month, we’d enjoy your fellowship.

Church Services Online

Online Streaming of the church services is now available through the church website.  Anywhere you can get internet access, you can receive the Live Audio Stream.  To access this, please go to www.tremontacc.org & click on the headphones on the main page.  Then click on the green “play” button in order to initiate the audio stream.  In order to use the streaming capabilities, your machine must have Windows Media Player installed & configured.  This can be done through your automated Windows Updates, or by clicking on the link provided below the “play” button.  Once clicking “play”, please wait a few minutes for the stream to load.  If you have any questions or concerns, please go to the “Contact Us” link & click on the envelope to send a question to the website developers.

In the hopes to minimize the cost of the phone system, we would encourage any users who have internet access to use this option instead of calling into the phone conference system.  The phone system will remain functioning, but we’re hoping that offering this new avenue for listening to church services will allow us to decrease our monthly phone conference bill.

Winter Work Project in Oakville

flood-registration/

Request for Greeting Cards

If you have any old greeting cards (baby, wedding, sympathy, birthday, Christmas, etc.) that you would like to get rid of – please give them to Wilma Pulfer or place them in the box provided at church.  Wilma plans to use them at the Hallmark House to make scrapbooks & gift tags.

In His Love,  The Miriam Sauder Family
