November Bulletin
Thanksgiving
The turkey is roasted; the
cranberry’s sweet;
The table is laden with good
things to eat.
The family is seated, each one in
his place;
Heads bow for the blessing, for
silence & grace.
There’s fellowship, laughter,
& hearts are so gay;
There’s gratitude, gladness on
Thanksgiving Day.

Crown Biblical Financial Study
Program
The
elder body approved the use of the Crown Biblical Financial Program. The Crown program is a ten-week Bible Study
that focuses on God’s financial principles.
Regardless of age or financial stability, anyone who has a role in
managing their household’s finances should consider participating. Married & engaged couples are encouraged
to attend the Bible Study together, working as a team through loving &
constant communication. Adult singles
(out of high school & making independent financial decisions) are also
encouraged to attend. Participation in a
Bible Study is one of the best ways for singles to receive some of the
financial stewardship guidance which they seek.
If it will increase their comfort level, singles are encouraged to
participate in pairs. Those who have had
experience in putting groups together in Bible Studies report that the best
results are obtained in mixing people without regard to age, marital status, or
financial condition. If you are
interested in participating, contact one of the ministers. If you are interested in becoming a group
leader, please indicate that also. This
will be a long term, multi-year program which will start small & grow as
the interest & trained group leaders are available. The first group will consist of a minister
couple & those who express interest in becoming future group leaders.

Thank You Note
To all
our church family: Darrel, the children,
& I would like to express our thankfulness & appreciation to so many of
you who thought of us at the time of my surgery & recovery. We are so grateful for the many thoughts,
phone calls, cards, helping hands, meals, & prayers on our behalf. We truly felt the love of God through each of
you. We love all of you & pray that
God will bless you for your love shown to us.
Humbly in Christ, Darrel, Brenda,

Vanessa, & Kendall Ehnle
A stranger is one away from home,
but a
pilgrim is one who is on his way home.
The following are some suggestions
found in a tract that was handed to an elder many years ago by a dear
Sister-in-faith who is long since laid to rest …
As we assemble ourselves in church:
Let us be deeply mindful that we are now entering
God’s sacred house of worship.
Let us go early to church; not only be punctual,
but be in our place before the hour
announced for the service to begin.
Let us go in a reverent spirit; on the way to
remember whither we go; avoid lightness
of
many & conversation on worldly topics.
Let us, before we enter, & as we enter the
church, breathe a silent prayer of invocation
for the influence of the Holy Spirit. Let us, as we take our place, bow our head
reverently
in
prayer, for ourself & for all others who enter the church.
Let us resolve that we will be quiet, foster no
evil thought, fix our eyes on no special object
that would detract our thoughts, utter no word that will
tend to divert our mind from the
holy
purpose for which we have come to church.
Let us, as the minister enters the pulpit, offer
an earnest silent prayer on his behalf.
Let us, in all service, take an active part as
hearer & worshiper.
Let us, at the end of the service, after a moment
of prayerful silence, depart with
cheerfulness & good will to all whom we happen to meet,
remember that
Christian
fellowship is a part of Christian worship.
